Calvin's Halloween

The original plan was for Calvin to dress up as an orange tiger with black stripes.

He would have been Calvin AND Hobbes...get it? =)

Unfortunately, his procrastinating parents showed up a bit too late at Costco and they were sold out. Luckily however, gracious Auntie Kim saved the day and his (XXL) costume was not only perfect but free:

We were SO excited to carve Calvin's very first pumpkin with him on his very first Halloween. But alas, his drowsiness took over and he ended up knocking out even before the first cut. Oh well; his papa was more than happy to help out:

I just realized we have no picture of the finished product...darn. But hopefully this cute little pumpkin will suffice:
