Viva Las Vegas

Ward talent show. Choose 2 Give breakfast/meeting. Draper Temple dedication. Sacrament meeting. Babysitting the cute Rodgers (still gonna happen!). Taking care of Miss Angelynn ;). Visiting Teachers. Dinner with the Lewis'. Working at Cracker Barrel.

The one weekend we actually have things to do. What were we thinking?

Friday, right after I got off work around 5:40, Kyle got a call from his mom informing us that his family was in Vegas. Rather spontaneous on my part-according to my husband; But needless to say (especially after 2 tests this week), we were on the road by 6:30.

After singing along to some JACK, Rocket Summer, Michael Jackson, and even a lil' Disney, as well as a few games of "what would we do if we won $41 million?", we finally arrived right before midnight.

Saturday was a jam-packed day starting with waking up at 7:am. The rest of the day included trip(s) to: Costco, Sam's Club, Bass Pro Shop, Great Buns Bakery, a UNLV baseball game, Fry's, and the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate this lovely lady's 70th birthday:

Although we were there for less than 48 hours, it was absolutely worth it. A few memorable experiences included:

1. Seeing my in-laws car (with the cute "Kirk + Trina" sticker) parked in the driveway; one of the few familiar things I've seen in a long time.

2. Hearing my father-in-law say: "The best part of this entire weekend was by far being able to attend a baseball game with my son; it completely made my weekend". How cute is that....

3. Kyle documenting The Cheesecake Factory card me for buying my first alcoholic drink ever! haha. (It was for his mom, don't worry).

4. And finally, even though this wasn't the best part...I DID get a cute new sweater!!! And from Costco even! All compliments of my cute mother-in-law =).

Wow! What a great weekend! Isn't it fun to get together with family? I like impulses and spontaneity.
